I am very involved with memes, so I thought to collect all of the things I have done with them into one place.
Facebook Meme Pages
- Meme page: Scholarly Scholastic Memes (formerly Aesthetic Intellectual Meme Stash)
- Collaborative meme page: New meme page
- Archive meme page: Neorage Compilation
- Other page projects: Interesting Clippings Page; Zenonic takes that never hit the target; Concerning Faith of Things Not Seen
Facebook Groups
Groups fit for a general audience:
Very niche groups:
- YouTube comments on music
- Austrian Economics Memes
- Translated Brazilian Memes Facebook Group
- Kant’s Critical Shitposting
Blog posts about memes
- History of neo-ragecomics
- Introduction to Doge memes
- Milady Maker Memes Information
- Meme explanation: the King Size of Rio de Janeiro
Other
- I have done some research to find the original, or the best-quality version, of some meme templates, and this is all documented in an album at my page.
- Most notably, I was the first to do the research and find what seems to be the original Tumblr post of the “I Wish ... A Very Pleasant Evening” template (the original said: “all my Tumblr friends”), whereas the Know Your Meme page still erroneously displays (as of 2021-12-01) a derivative version as the original.
- My meme page was the first to post, and is therefore responsible for the ascension of, the meme templates “Divorce Leads Children to the Worst Places” and “The Audiobook Stays On During Sex”. I created the latter, whereas the former had already been going around in lower-quality Spanish and Portuguese versions before I made the higher-quality English version.
- I have been active in the Facebook groups /tpmg/ - TPM Meme Research and Development and /tpm/ - Discussions, News & Resources, which are associated with The Philosopher’s Meme. I have written some commentary about memes, and made some compilations of memes, in these groups. It was generally not complicated or insightful enough to go here in the blog.
